The reason I am here, and not at LJ anymore, chiefly:

# At InsaneJournal we believe in freedom of expression. We will not censor content unless it obviously violates United States law and we receive an official take-down notice. We do not self-police the site.
# Yes we are fanfic friendly. We believe works of fiction are just that. And unless such work infringes on a copyright that does not fall under "fair use" we believe you have the right to post that content.

as long as Insanejournal keeps its promises and doesn't do anything ridiculous like, oh say, adding intrusive and obligatory video ads to pages, I'm staying here. So, personally, Insanejournal, if you could make your best efforts to not sell the farm to some big evil (maybe Russian) corporation who will break all your promises, I will purchase a paid account just as soon as I am reliably employed.

Thanks!

She shifted like clouds passing over the sun, bringing a icy breeze with her. )

She'd had little time to prepare, hours, even. She considered it a test. How well do you work under pressure? They'd be pleased to note that she was all about pressure. That's what she continued to tell herself, anyway. She'd really have liked to go down to records and get a full history on her subject, but she kept her priorities straight, hustling back to her new apartment to change her clothes and her hair. She went over the file with a curling iron in one hand, making mental notes. In the end, though, there was just too little to be learned from the quick and dirty compilation of facts. She knew she was going to have to go in half blind. She changed into a red pleated dress that was high enough on top and hung to just mid-thigh.

She projected a forced calm, a true believer in the idea that if a person could pretend a trait long enough it would become part of them. She had yet to reach that point- but knew it was out there somewhere. It occurred to her halfway up the stairs that a peace offering might be in order, and she ran back down the stairs to check the schedule in the lab. If there were no interns working, she'd have to do some quick thinking. A law firm like Wolfram and Hart couldn't condone murder, after all. Looked like new lab technician "Rob" was on the menu. Oh well, accidents happen.

Samantha arrived in plenty of time, perching herself on one of the counters in the recovery room, which was really just the lab with all the medical instruments rolled away. She quirked an interested eyebrow at the unconscious vampire as he seemed to slowly come out of it. Her legs were crossed and from each dangled a foot in an expensive black heel.
